All in all, the Brother XL2600I is a versatile sewing-machine that will enable you to accomplish different sewing-projects with ease.

The good:

It is very easy to thread this sewing-machine because it comes with easy threading-system coupled with an automatic needle-threader.
The Brother XL2600I machine features built-in free-arm which makes it perfect for sewing sleeves, cuffs and any other small cylindrical-clothes.
It also ensures easy bobbin-winding whereby the user will just have to push the bobbin-control to the right and the bobbin will be wound.
This sewing-machine also enables the user to easily create custom buttonholes since it’s equipped with a 1-step buttonhole stitch and a buttonhole-foot for sewing the buttons.
It even features a jam-resistant, top, drop-in bobbin which facilitates for fast and easy sewing.
Lastly, the Brother XL2600I Sewing-machine has easy-to-use controls like a stitch-selector dial which ensures quick and easy stitch-selection.

The bad:

The user-manual is a bit hard to read because it’s not laid-out well/properly and they even tend to repeat some instructions twice. Additionally, this manual also confusingly displays Spanish-language text immediately after the English-text. However, to some extent this user-manual is manageable if you take your time in order to read it carefully.
The other limitation about this sewing-machine is that it can’t handle heavy-fabric or multiple-layer well and this mainly because it does not have an adjustable foot-presser. In fact, its presser-foot can only be raised high-up but can’t be adjusted for variable-feed depending on the thickness of the fabric being sewed. So, consider buying a stronger sewing-machine if you’re going to work on heavy-fabric materials.
The thread-spindle on this machine can only accommodate small spools of thread. On the other hand, the needle-threader tends to get in the way which is unnecessary.
It also features so many functions which can actually be confusing especially for beginners. In fact, you may even not use some of these functions through the lifecycle of this machine.
Lastly, the Brother XL2600I Sewing Machine doesn’t come with a carrying-case and this means that the user will have to purchase his/her carrying-case if they need it.
