HOW DOES THE ROYAL BERKEY WATER FILTER SYSTEM WORK?

The Royal Berkey Water Filter system uses 2 different filters which include a standard black filter that must be used and an optional fluoride and arsenic filter.

How Standard Black Filters work:

This filter is composed of 6 different materials that are forged into a tight matrix-like formation. Berkey systems are not actually NSF certified. They are actually tested by a third-party independent accredited lab which doesn’t provide impressive test results.

There replacement filters are a bit expensive yet you need a total of 6 black filters to reach the maximum water flow rate.

It has to be manually filled with water because it can’t be installed on plumbing fixtures. In fact, it features a standalone countertop-design which requires physically putting water in the top yourself.
