How To Make Healthy Breakfast Meals Properly

When it comes to living a healthy life, balancing your nutritional needs in the morning is an important aspect because this will offer you with more energy boost the brain power and also prevent you from getting hungry before lunch time. Likewise, research has even shown that people who consistently take a healthy, nutritious breakfast tend to be slimmer than people who don’t. In fact, breakfast is also taken to be the most important meal of the day because you take it at a time when your body is still fresh and relaxed to do the digesting well. However, to gain more from your breakfast, you will have to consider eating healthy foods that contain alot of nutrients like cereals, fruits and many other soft but healthy foods.


  • Try making your oatmeal or cereal more nutritious: this can be done by cutting different berries into half or slices and these may include blueberries and strawberries. You can then slice a banana or even sprinkle some raisins on top these berries and after pour in some skim or low fat milk and even chocolate milk can work. On the other hand, you can also try to eat whole grain rather than sugar cereals so as to make your breakfast meal healthier.
  • Make sure you take at least half a cup of fresh fruit with your breakfast: there are many fruits that you can eat but it would be best if take mangoes, papaya, cantaloupe and oranges because these are the most popular fruits that can match up with any breakfast meal. But remember to remove any seeds and to slice off the skin before consuming these fruits. Try to eat just enough of these fruits but too much in order to balance out your breakfast meal.
  • Put some vegetables into your pan of eggs: there is a wide variety of vegetable to use and this means that you can actually create many varieties of vegetable omelets with pepper, chopped onions, mushrooms and with any other item that you may prefer. Afterwards, you may take the eggs off the burner and then sprinkle or put some cheese slices on top for an additional taste. This is actually a good idea for people who like vegetables and you may even supplement this by drinking fortified juices like orange or passion fruit juice.
  • Limit on the consumption of pastries: anything that tastes sugary or sweet can seem to be a great side dish with any coffee drinks, but this dish does not contribute to your healthy breakfast. This is because most desserts contain empty calories and it is for this reason that one should at least eat a bagel or English muffin instead of eating a cinnamon roll or any other dessert. On the other hand, foods that contain too much artificial sugars are not good for the body and that is why it recommended to always consuming foods with natural sugars and these in most cases are fruits.



  • In case it seems like you are always on-the-run all the time for work every morning, you should try to wake up a little bit earlier and then consume something like yogurt rather than rushing to a coffee shop for breakfast. This is mainly because coffee and other products that contain caffeine tend to fill you up until lunch time but not in a nutritious way or sense. That’s why it’s very important to take something that is at least more nutritious than coffee.
  • If you are in a hurry and there is no time to sit down for breakfast, try to stock some healthy breakfast bars and bananas so that you can eat these before rushing for work in the morning. Also avoid stocking and eating cereal bars because these usually contain 55-percent sugar and this is not good for your body. So try consuming cereal bars that are made from only natural ingredients inorder to keep your breakfast meal nutritious.
  • Try to reduce on the amount of syrup that is applied on pancakes, French toasts or even waffles. This is because syrup usually contains over 65-percent sugar and very little nutritional ingredients or needs hence this renders it useless to your body. However, it’s recommended to use pure maple syrup because it contains nutritious ingredients and you will even like its taste. All in all, just know that pancake syrup is just corn syrup and that’s why it’s not good for your breakfast meal.
  • Avoid taking foods that contain too much fat or oils during your breakfast meal. We all know that taking too much oil is not a good thing for your health and it can lead to over-weight and several diseases that may put your life at risk. So, incase you’re using oil to prepare eggs for your breakfast meal, try to apply a small amount and it’s even recommended to use natural oils like olive oil and seed oils.



  • Don’t eat your breakfast meal quickly or when rushing because this can lead to serious digestion problems and you may even choke yourself during the process which is not a good thing. Instead, take your breakfast slowly and you can even watch news as you eat so that you stomach takes in what is enough for it.
  • Avoid taking your breakfast meal without drinking anything: in fact, it’s recommended to take water immediately after leaving your bed because this somehow helps your digestion system. But as you take a breakfast meal, try to drink something with it like tea, milk or even any fruit juice inorder to make it more nutritious.
  • As I conclude, you should know that breakfast is the most important of the day and you should try as much as not to skip it if you want stay healthy. However, try to have a nutritious breakfast meal and even try not to eat too much to the extent of not feeling comfortable but just take what is just enough for you.
